Keeping with our planetary theme and life on other planets, NASA says there may be plants on other planets and they may be all sorts of different colors. The color of any alien plant is determined by the wavelength of light as well as the dominant color of photosynthesis on other planets. Both of these could drastically differ from our own sun's dominant wavelengths and our plants dominant photosynthesis color. The dominant color of photosynthesis may even be something like infrared. Finding this out is very useful; scientists can use the information to help determine the likeliness of life on distant planets as well as give us a better understanding of life on Earth.
